*SCAPE @ Orchard
Renamed: Glass of Nature Café

Design Statement:
The glass of nature is an organic industrial-themed board & console games cafe along with a trendy foods bar & cafe to go with it. It is a two-storey cafe and hangout space that allows youths to find their favourite style of seating as choice always gives the best comfort.

And there are various choices to choose from, such as the swing seating, the human cave seats, and satisfying depressions in the courtyard that also serves as seating, playing and hangout space, there are also sofas for those who want them, and this is only on level 1. On level 2 there are raised blocks of glass-covered concrete, like opposites of the seating in the courtyard where users can sit and play games, eat, hang out and have fun. All seating areas are carefully arranged to promote conversation and allow users to interact with friends and make friends with other users, but they are also spaced out enough to give the users more seclusion if they wish for it. There are various famous and new board games and console games to choose from to enjoy themselves, also there is a cafe where fun and interesting themed food is sold to make users want to keep coming back for more. The themes are chosen depending on current trends and viral styles that are currently on social media at the time.

PROJECT INFO
In this project, we were tasked to redesign the outdoor space of *SCAPE @ Orchard. It is currently a simple outdoor space with a few fastfood restaraunts and a bar. The outdoor space was broken up into 6 parcels and we were tasked to choose a parcel and redesign it how we see fit. Our main objective was to ensure that the space had a specific set of target audience and programme with a broader audience pool being youths in general. We researched in depth about our users and conducted surveys with up to 200 responders to gather information onyouth of various age range and their interests and insights.

Using our research on our target user and site analysis we redesigned our selected parcel. My approach to this project was to take into account thecomfort of users and allow them various options of seating in my space to let them choose a seating space that works best for their ttaste and needs.
